CREATING

Bear with me on this one, people. My mind is in about 1000 places and it will most likely reflect in my writing... This gal has a bit she needs to talk about :)

The first topic I wanna touch on is friendship. Without getting overly lovey-dovey, I do wanna give props to Peyton - one of my best friends. This amazing human you see pictured below has given me unwavering support and compassion during the toughest months of my life. She is just as beautiful and badass, if not more so, as these images showcase. And don’t even get me started on her ridiculously cool style. Peyton is the thrift queen of Western PA… and most likely all of PA, too. I am thankful for her secondhand styling advice, but even more thankful for her presence in my life.

This collaboration was long overdue. Especially since the seasonal inspo-block has been in full force for both Pey and myself. Anyone else in a slump? For our backdrops, we used an old comforter from my college days (floral) and an afghan bought the day before at Salvation Army (checkered) LOL! I think both backdrops offered completely different looks even though we kept the styling the same. Of course we went for that 60s/70s retro vibe, and Peyton provided the most KILLER polka-dotted vintage dress from California (which will tie into my next subject). Her poof and dramatic makeup courtesy of years of competitive dance and me just being extra.

As for California, I’M MOVING. Well, sorta. I will be taking an open-ended trip to San Diego and it couldn’t come at the most perfect time. I’m hoping to connect with creatives (or potential clients) while in the area and have the opportunity to collaborate on projects (like this one) that make my heart happy and help build me back up to being ME. So if you know anyone in San Dawg who’d want to create, I know a lady.

Don’t worry though, I will be back come Spring ;)
