A FASHION-FORWARD FLASHBACK FRIDAY
I may or may not have a problem with thrift shopping. There's just something about good deals and weird stuff that has me hooked! The downfall of this "problem" is that I oftentimes struggle with closet space... BUT, the benefits are plentiful, so I just ignore that one downfall. My favorite plus-side to collecting all this funky schtuff is the freedom to style cool photoshoots. My cousin Emily and I got together this past summer (oh how I miss the days where the sun sets at 9) for a vintage fashion inspired collaboration. The photoshoot consisted of three looks - all of which were semi-inspired by different eras - and photographed at an abandoned gas station nearby to where I grew up (and also next door to a flea market LOL!) Can you guess which look belonged to which era?
What made this photoshoot even cooler was there was only one piece in each look that wasn't thrifted! ((Yes, that means every outfit was created using clothing/accessories from my extensive personal collection :P ))
Golden Yellow Bodycon dress from H&M
Silky Army Green Gym Shorts from H&M
Burnt Orange Velvet Bodysuit from Zaful
Shoutout to Emily for being such a wonderful model and effortlessly rockin' all three looks!
