GOLDEN HOUR IN BALBOA PARK
Funny story time: Once upon a time I was living in San Diego where everything was within walking distance - and I mean EVERYTHING. This even included a boxing studio a few blocks from the house! I decided to take up boxing (tangent - I ended up loving it and am now looking for a place that offers classes in Indiana County…), and at the end of my first session there, I met Eli. We chatted about local tattoo spots, our Pittsburgh connections, and ended up on the topic of our careers. Turns out, Eli is in the navy and works with my manfriend! Even more of a coincidence: he and his fiancé Meaghan were in the market for an engagement photographer!
I swear, I will never get tired of shooting in Balboa Park. It’s been one of my favorite spots to visit in San Diego, and it has the most beautiful backdrops to work with. It was an obvious choice for Eli + Meg’s session and their adorable pug puppy, Frankenstein aka “Frankie.” The majority of the session was spent laughing (mostly directed at the pupper) under the California golden light. These two were so awesome to hang with and I’m so thankful for that chance meeting (special shoutout to Boxfit for making this happen ;) hehe!)
